Artist Paola Minekov
Printed on Giclée Hahnemühle German Etching
Museum Quality Art Print, Limited Edition of 25, 26 x 35cm
In this schematic piece of digital art, Paola Minekov exhibits a fascination with African masks and tribal art and interprets their graphism as if creating a drawing. The piece is resemblant of a woodblock in the thickness of the lines and the simplicity of black and white portions. Two imagined titular characters are juxtaposed to one another, similarly to the characters of the artist’s “Undercurrents” series. They are the constantly present female and male principles, two sides of the same coin.
