I was inspired by the theme of “Flora” as a teenager, when I was first introduced to Rembrandt’s portraits of his wife Saskia. When I embarked on creating Flora, I wanted to combine my digital portrait series with my hand painted artworks in a contemporary, yet classical style. 

Flora, of course, is about nature and rebirth and so I chose my watercolour painting "Song of the Threes” as a digitalised and edited background for this artwork.
